RiverWalk - New West Hospice Society

Walk in remembrance

The RiverWalk is an annual New West Hospice Society fund-raising event.

Thank you for joining us!

We ask the community to support NWHS by walking along the New West Quay in memory of a Lost Loved One.

Funds are raised from personal donations via CanadaHelps and corporate sponsorships.

Community leaders and NWHS partner organizations will be in attendance, offering their information and services. There is live music, sunshine (we hope!), and great community spirit.

We look forward to seeing you there and thank you for your ongoing support!

Why We Walk

I’m going to stroll in the RiverWalk for hospice in honour of my dad, Ken. As I walk, I’ll carry my rock decorated with a musical note and boat to remember the fun times floating in a boat, singing songs with gusto and just spending time together. Thank you, Dad, there is so much you taught me just being you. Love you always

This is my first year participating in RiverWalk. I’ve been thinking about the women who were role models in my life, so I will paint my rock in memory of my 8 aunties. Thinking of you, Judy, Bonnie, Donna, Frances, Dot, Kathy, Rose, and Margo.

A tear comes to my eye when I think of my late friend Jean and I miss her good-natured teasing. I look forward to the Sunday May 4th New West Hospice Society Riverwalk. Looks like fun!
