On Monday, April 13 NWHS Co-President Wendy Johnson and Board Director Sherri Kensall presented an update to City Council in Queensborough.

New Westminster is a Compassionate City.

Since our organization’s inception in 2016 we have been working closely with local politicians to bring a hospice residence to our city.

As part of that process, it is important to ensure everyone is on the same page. This year we provided an update on how Council support has opened doors to conversations with developers. We also spoke about our regular check ins with Fraser Health, and ongoing research being done by our Board into best practices in running a hospice residence.

Each member of Council was given a blank rock and was invited to join us on Sunday, May 3 for our annual fundraiser – RiverWalk.
