This month is Men’s Health Month, join guys across Canada in talking about the tough stuff.
So often when we discuss health it might be time for that yearly check-up or only after something has changed. New research shows that most men+ in Canada do not talk about their mental or physical health.
In a 2025 study, conducted by the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation and Intensions Consulting, new data shows that more men are struggling with high levels of stress and depression and half lack sufficient social support. Around 67% of Canadian men have unhealthy habits due to the mentality that “life happens”. These coping mechanisms to handle stress, responsibilities, finances, and family obligations can be addressed through conversation and supporting connection.
1 in 2 Canadian men are at risk of social isolation and 67% of men are not seeking out professional mental health support services.
This means that more men are slipping through the cracks under the guise of being “Okay” and so we want to spotlight the importance of prevention, early detection, and whole-person care for men’s health.
