Honorary Life Member: Michael Scales

The New West Hospice Society is pleased to announce Michael Scales has been awarded an Honorary Life Membership.

On June 14, Michael was presented with the award at Beacon Unitarian Church at the end of their service.

Wendy Johnson, Co-President, Karl Moser, Director, Sherri Kensall, Director , and Brenda Rudko, volunteer, were on hand to assist with the presentation of a piece of glass art in the shape of the Hospice logo. The piece was created by artist Violet Finvers.

Michael served on the Board of Directors for 8 years; has served as Chair of the organizing committee for the Dialogue on Death and Dying for the past 4 years; has provided leadership as part of the Executive Director Committee; and continues to serve as a volunteer with the Compassionate City Crew.

This award was presented in recognition of Michael’s dedication, leadership and love.
