Compassionate City Crew

Our New West Hospice volunteers help make connections with the individual’s friends and neighbours, and set up a program of support for the person’s specific needs, from mowing the lawn, to organizing communications, to walking the dog. Once connections are established, the volunteer’s role is complete (usually an 8-week cycle).

Volunteer Training

Do you enjoy talking with people and helping where you can?  Have you ever thought about volunteering to support people at end of life? Our volunteers participate in a comprehensive training program before connecting with community members. Training is delivered in a series of weekly modules. If this is something that is of interest to you, find out more here.
