Join us at 10:00 AM on the boardwalk by River Market for live music, memorial rock painting, and more! We are so excited for our Compassionate Community to join us for our annual fundraising event.
RiverWalk FAQ
A: Registration opens at 10:00 AM right next to the Simon Fraser statue on the boardwalk in front of River Market and Itilia Restaurant
A: The walk begins at 11:15 AM – make sure you arrive with time to register.
A: We will be walking downstream from RIver Market to the railway bridge and back (approximately 2 km)
A: Yes! The route is both wheelchair and stroller accessible.
A: The rock painting table will be on the other side of the podium from the registration table. After you register, head over to paint your memorial rock while enjoying some live music. Rocks will be displayed after the walk.
A: You can find both water and accessible washrooms inside River Market.
A: Yes! Just check in at our registration table between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM and we’ll get you signed up before the walk.
A: Yes! We will have volunteers on site to process donations throughout the event. You can also donate online via CanadaHelps until May 11th.
A. New West Firefighters Charitable Society is providing hot dogs by donation. The River Market has several food establishments and a grocery store.
A: Yes, there is parking under the RiverSky buildings (1000 Quayside Drive), underground near the roundabout (710 Quayside Drive), at Pier West (750 Quayside Drive), the Inn at the Quay (900 Quayside Drive), and Anvil Centre (777 Columbia), as well as limited street parking.
A: Yes, River Market is one block south of New Westminster Skytrain station.
